The Government of India’s recent thrust towards natural farming (NF) and the setting up of a committee to formulate a curricula presents an opportunity to explore the theoretical and practical dimensions of this NF curriculum towards strengthening the shift to agroecology.
For an overhaul of the curriculum requires multiple rounds of consultations with practitioners, scientists, and CSOs working in the space of understanding and developing sustainable practices for decades. Such in-depth discussions could contribute to the development of a meaningful learning environment for the agricultural students. 

The panel discussion is aimed at gathering ideas and experiences from diverse groups to understand how innovations in curriculum can be enabled through both content and process and together an attempt will be to formulate a framework to introduce agroecology in formal educational spaces. 

Speakers are : – Dr Kandarp Mevada, Director of Research at the Gujarat Organic Agricultural University – Dr G V Ramanjaneyulu, Centre for Sustainable Agriculture- Dr A R Vasavi, Founder, Punarchith – Anshuman Das, Welthungerhilfe – Brigadier Sudhir Sawant, KVK Sindhudurg
Discussion will be moderated by Prof Shambu Prasad and Dr Deborah Dutta from IRMA, Anand, Gujarat.
