Madhya Pradesh

With varied geographical conditions, over the decades a diverse set of individuals, groups and organisations have been working towards agroecology based farming in Madhya Pradesh. Recognising the strong involvement of CSOs and NGOs in the state; today 16 partner CSOs have come together to launch the Madhya Pradesh State Chapter. It currently plans to work with 50k+ farmers in all 11 Agro-climatic zones of MP.

The State Chapter is engaging with the Department of Agriculture for convergence with PKVY-BPKP schemes to build CSO-government partnerships to implement these schemes, with the SRLM to promote livelihoods related to natural farming and with the Departments of Women & Child, as also Rural Development for inclusion of agro-ecologically appropriate nutri-cereals, pulses and oilseeds in the ICDS and MDMS.
